Artist's CommentsThis is a large version of Shallow mooring at Sorrento. [link] I felt like doing a larger one and it is mostly acrylic, painted on watercolour paper. I want to enter it into a local Art on Paper competition. This is held at Hazelhurst, our local Regional Art Gallery. Entry has to be in by May 18th and they tell you if you are hung by June 6th. To even get hung,as a traditional artist, in this show is an almighty achievement, most of the work hung is very contemporary. I did get hung once, at the very first show. They hung my work on a pillar, in the restaurant, away from the main exhibits! But I'll give it a go, just for the fun of it! Thanks for all the kind comments, faves and watches, I really appreciate these. Freda's website: [link] I belong to Oatley 101 Society of Artists: [link] Member of *Traditional-Artists: [link] |
