This painting is watercolour on paper.

This is number nine in the series on Venice. I was struck by the contrast between the deep shadow of the arched colonnade and the square outside. And just a peek of the Basilica. As it was early morning, only a few people were about and lovely long shadows. I used just a few of the very many pigeons to lead the eye away, across the square.

Thank you all again so much for the numerous faves and watches. I really do appreciate these.

Hello, Freda! I'm getting ready for our next exhibition, Lasting Impressions 2010. The opening is next week, 16th July. It's the third one we've done together,(the four of us). I'm having a bit of a break - decided not to teach my classes during school holidays. It's kind of nice. I am indulging in a bit of laziness, and catching up with friends by phone. I have done a bit of painting, but also just playing with my watercolours. It's amazing how much more time I have without my classes. Anyway, not sure I'll get to the Box Hill Grammer show. My sister in law lives in Box Hill, so if I go there I'll check it out and look for your work.
How are things with you otherwise? Good to hear from you, thanks!

Hello Karin
Isn't funny about the teaching. I have friends who teach who have all said the same as you.........how much more time to paint etc.
Yes, I did see that it is a group show........and the best of luck with it to you all!
cheers Freda

Thanks, Freda! Just spent the evening on Red Bubble. I finally set it up properly, so I can sell prints. I've noticed you on there, and see you are selling lots. Good on you! I've heard Red Bubble is good for selling. I have a feeling I'll be spending more time on Red Bubble. I like how they have it set up. Cheers, Karin :hug:

Great to hear Karin.
Make sure your interest is set to 200% or you will get very little pay for your prints.
Also, Redbubble have a link to Facebook and every time you load anything on Redbubble, it gets put on to your wall and all your friends get to see your work too.

Hi Freda, thank you very much for the tips. I noticed you have your prices set higher on greeting cards. The default price on mine seems very low. The only reason I have not investigated raising the price is because I want to buy some of my own cards at a lower price. If you increase the setting, does it increase the price you pay for your own work?
I have linked Red Bubble to my Facebook. Thanks.

Yes, it does.
Why not get 25c prints of your work at a local photo printers...........then you can stick them on thin card to make greeting cards.
