Thanks Coco, and for the :+fav:
Glad to hear you've had quite pleasant weather.

We are going to have a couple of days of sunshine before the showers return on Wednesday.

Has the weather been as bad for you as for Sydney............we've had the worst week.....freezing winds and driving rain..Today is the first day we've seen the sun!!

Hi Freda !
We are having sunny weather right now and yesterday was also sunny, but it's cold. Yes, we have had really unpleasant wet, cold weather here. Strangely, it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I've made peace with it,(Melbourne weather).

I'm keeping busy, and the time flies by so fast, that soon it will be spring. I think I now prefer the cold weather to the extreme heat and dry. At least everything is nice and green and the water-catchments and lakes are full again. Mind you, if I could afford to, it would be nice to take off to Canada in winter, and spend a couple of months enjoying their summer. I've done that a few times, and it's cool, because you can totally avoid winter.
Anyway, always lovely to hear from you. Keep warm.

Hi Karen
thank goodness we're having better weather at the moment and when I went to life drawing this evening, the sun was only just setting. I've been driving there in the dark, cold and rain and not wanting to go there, but I have to as I am the convener. This evening 17 turned up which was great.

The idea of spending our winter in Canada sounds good. We're going off to Europe next April when Dave retires.

Nice to hear from you............and keep warm too.

all the best

Hi Freda !
Yes, indeed, I hate when it gets dark so early,on top of the cold and wet weather but hey, the worst is over, now we're headed for spring. We've had such mild weather here, last few days. If this is what the rest of August is going to be like, then bring it on. I love the milder weather and longer days. :)

I teach some evening classes in my studio and the weather is definitely to blame for poor attendance, among other reasons.(people are sick or travel more)

Wow, 17, that's really good. I love life drawing, but glad I can go in the afternoons. I'm one of those people who hate going out at night, especially in winter.

Anyway, lots to look forward for you and your husband. My husband, Karl and I are also planning to go to Berlin next year, to visit my daughter who lives there. We'll probably go in June, July or August. I also hope to finally get to see Paris and Venice as well as a few other things on my bucket list. Canada will have to wait, unless hubby finally wins the lottery.
Thanks for sharing.:)
