This painting is watercolour on paper. I am putting it in an Art show at The Royal Art Society with the theme "At the races" which celebrates the most famous race meeting in Australia - The Melbourne Cup.

I have used an image kindly supplied by Marcus Ranum, his website is at [link] and I can only thank him deeply for his generosity in letting us have free use of his photos.

His beautiful photo which I used as reference is here: [link] and I simply added a hat and a champagne glass.

It's not till the end of October, I painted this one early because I felt inspired to paint it..........it's sitting on my wall at the moment.
